A small temporary monument to Richard Gardner
In 2019, I thought the world had unfairly tarnished the reputation of an excellent psychiatrist, Richard Gardner, who had passed away in 2003. He was a pioneer in the field of child psychiatry and made significant contributions to our understanding of child development and mental health.
There had been a lot of boring stories about him circulating online, unjust and not reflective of his true character or work. So I created a website from writtings he had published online (scraped out of internet archives) in the hope that people reading his own words would have a better understanding of his work and less inclined to believe the negative narratives.
After six years it's has become clear that the problem wasn't that the general public lacked good information, but rather lacked the will to learn and engage with new ideas. Accordingly I have replaced the website with a placeholder that will disappear when the domain expires.
